Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire the German industrial pump manufacturer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from private fairness agency Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen within the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for food and beverage and cosmetics purposes.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing amenities in Germany, a US subsidiary and a worldwide gross sales and repair footprint. The company employs 265 folks and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.4 million.
“Industrial pumps is a segment that we have recognized as a strategic match for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has leading differentiated expertise with a powerful aftermarket enterprise,” stated Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business space. “Wangen Pumpen is a robust model and is known for quality in demanding industrial applications. This acquisition will create a solid basis for additional progress in new industrial pump segments.”
The acquired enterprise will turn into a part of the Power and Flow division inside Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The deal is anticipated to be accomplished during the second quarter of 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals.
